Admin Modules

SpiderCMS includes a web-based administration tool and online content management support. The administration tool allows users in the "Admins" role to manage the content, layout and security of the Site. Administrators can move, modify, remove or create and automatically publish content to the Site.

Additionally SpiderCMS provides adequate security on who is accessing what. The administrator can define, modify or delete user roles. Access permissions are also definable on each module up to the level of view and/or edit so that only authorized users can perform authorized tasks.

Languages

Having a multilingual web site is becoming a necessity for most businesses. The languages module provides multilingual capabilities to SpiderCMS, allowing its Administrator to have as many languages as needed. Currently languages based on Latin and Greek characters are available while other languages are subject to customization.

Sections

Sections refers to the various Tabs or Sections that normally appear on the top of the page. Administrators can edit the name of a Section, change its position in relation to the other, add or remove it. All in a very easy and straight-forward manner.

Site Users

With this module, the Administrator can manage the users of the system. Unlimited number of users can be added with access to view or edit specific parts of the site (modules and/or sections).

Transaction Log

This is an advanced module that allows the Administrator of the system to check the activity (per module) made by the Editors. Once the Administration selects the user(s), modules and the period, he/she has the following options: "Show Old Values", "Show Values Supplied" and "Show Differences"

Newsletter Admin

Newsletter Admin is a module that works in parallel with the Newsletter module. The Administrator of the web site uses this module to create newsletter categories, which automatically appear as options for the users who wish to receive emails. The administrator can then write an email (either as text or as HTML) and send it to "All active users" or to the users who subscribed to a specific category.

Templates

This module allows the creation of a number of templates for use in the article module. There are some default templates (SUMMARY, RELATED, ALL and TITLE), but the Administrator can define as many new templates as needed.

User Roles

The Roles module allows the Administrator to first create various user groups and then assign people in these groups. Different groups may have different levels of access to each module in the website.
